Ingredients
  

Salad
  • 4 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup sliced bell pepper any color
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro optional
Dressing
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce low sodium preferred
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup for vegan option
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Salad
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, carrots, bell pepper, green onions, and cilantro.
Make the Dressing
  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic until well combined.
Combine and Serve
  1. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss until everything is evenly coated. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
