Ingredients
  

Ice Cream Base
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries pureed
Pretzel Crust
  • 2 cups pretzel crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Method
 

Prepare Pretzel Crust
  1. Preheat the oven to 350?F (175?C). In a mixing bowl, combine pretzel crumbs, melted butter, and brown sugar until well mixed.
  2. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch pie dish. Bake for 10 minutes, then let cool.
Make Ice Cream Base
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Stir in the pureed strawberries until well combined.
Churn Ice Cream
  1. Pour the ice cream mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
Assemble and Freeze
  1. Spoon the churned ice cream into the prepared pretzel crust, smoothing the top. Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.

Notes

For best results, use fresh strawberries when in season. You can also add chopped strawberries into the ice cream for added texture.
