Ingredients
  

Margarita Base
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup tequila preferably silver
  • 1/2 cup lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur such as Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup adjust to taste
  • 1 cup ice crushed or cubed
Garnish
  • 4 slices lime for garnish
  • 4 strawberries whole for garnish
  • coarse salt optional for rimming glasses

Method
 

Prepare the Glasses
  1. If desired, rim the glasses with coarse salt by rubbing a lime slice around the rim and dipping it into the salt.
Blend the Ingredients
  1. In a blender, combine the strawberries, tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, simple syrup, and ice. Blend until smooth.
Serve the Margarita
  1. Pour the blended mixture into the prepared glasses. Garnish with lime slices and whole strawberries.

Notes
