Ingredients
  

For the Margarita
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries choose ripe, juicy berries
  • 2 limes fresh lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 cup tequila good-quality blanco tequila
  • 1/2 cup triple sec or another orange-flavored liqueur
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup adjust sweetness to taste
For the Garnish
  • lime wedges for garnish
  • strawberry slices for garnish
  • salt or sugar for rim

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Rinse 2 cups of fresh strawberries under cool water. Remove the stems and slice them in half.
  2. In a blender, combine the prepared strawberries, juice of 2 limes, 1/4 cup of agave syrup, and 2 cups of ice. Blend until smooth.
  3. Add 1 cup of tequila and 1/2 cup of orange liqueur to the blender. Pulse a few times to mix.
  4. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of your glasses and dip into coarse salt or sugar.
  5. Pour the blended margarita into the prepared glasses and garnish with a fresh strawberry or lime wheel.
