Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 4 cups fresh blueberries or frozen
  • 1 cup granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour for thickening
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk whole or 2%
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350?F (175?C). In a mixing bowl, combine the blueberries, sugar, flour, and lemon juice. Toss gently to coat the blueberries evenly.
Prepare the Topping
  1. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Add the milk and melted butter, stirring until just combined.
Assemble and Bake
  1. Pour the blueberry mixture into a greased baking dish. Spoon the topping over the blueberries, spreading it evenly.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Serve
  1. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes
