Ingredients
  

Kofta Meatballs
  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh mint, chopped
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Tzatziki Sauce
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 small cucumber, grated and drained
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Method
 

Prepare the Kofta Meatballs
  1. Preheat the oven to 400?F (200?C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground lamb, onion, garlic, parsley, mint, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, salt, pepper, egg, and breadcrumbs.
  3. Mix until well combined and form into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes, or until cooked through.
Prepare the Tzatziki Sauce
  1. In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Serve
  1. Serve the kofta meatballs warm with tzatziki sauce on the side.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the meatball mixture.
