Haluski - Cabbage and Noodles

Ingredients
  

Noodles
  • 8 oz egg noodles or any pasta of choice
Cabbage
  • 1 head green cabbage shredded
Onion
  • 1 medium onion chopped
Butter
  • 4 tbsp butter for saut?ing
Salt
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper to taste

Method
 

Prepare the Noodles
  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Saut? the Cabbage and Onion
  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and saut? until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the shredded cabbage to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender and slightly caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
Combine and Serve
  1. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with the cabbage and onion. Season with salt and pepper, and toss to combine.
  2. Serve hot as a main dish or side dish.
