Ingredients
  

Meat and Vegetables
  • 1 lb ground beef preferably lean
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 4 cups cabbage shredded
  • 2 medium carrots sliced
  • 1 medium bell pepper chopped
Liquids and Seasonings
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 can diced tomatoes 14.5 oz
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper to taste

Method
 

Cooking the Soup
  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in the shredded cabbage, sliced carrots, and chopped bell pepper, cooking for about 5 minutes until slightly softened.
  4. Pour in the beef broth, diced tomatoes, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and let simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary before serving.
