Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350?F (175?C).
- Prepare the crust by combining graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar in a bowl. Mix until it resembles wet sand before pressing it firmly into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
- Blend the cheesecake filling ingredients?cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla?until smooth and creamy.
- Layer the cheesecake mixture over the crust evenly, smoothing it out with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the edges are set but the center still slightly jiggles.
- Toss sliced apples with cinnamon and sugar in a separate bowl. Set aside while you wait for the bars to cool slightly.
- Arrange the cinnamon-sugar apples on top of the baked cheesecake layer. Return it to bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until apples are tender and slightly caramelized.
- Cool the entire dish at room temperature for about an hour, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight for best results.
