Ingredients
  

Sandwich Base
  • 4 slices Italian bread or ciabatta
Filling
  • 4 oz salami chopped
  • 4 oz capicola chopped
  • 4 oz provolone cheese chopped
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce shredded
  • 1 medium tomato diced
  • 1/2 cup pepperoncini sliced
  • 1/4 cup red onion finely chopped
Dressing
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped salami, capicola, provolone cheese, shredded romaine lettuce, diced tomato, sliced pepperoncini, and chopped red onion.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper to create the dressing.
  3. Pour the dressing over the meat and vegetable mixture and toss until well combined.
Assemble the Sandwich
  1. Slice the Italian bread horizontally and layer the filling evenly on the bottom half.
  2. Top with the other half of the bread and press down gently.
  3. Cut the sandwich into quarters and serve immediately or wrap for later.
