Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 4 cups fresh cherries pitted and halved
  • 1 cup granulated sugar adjust based on sweetness of cherries
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch for thickening
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Crumble Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350?F (175?C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cherries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, vanilla extract, and lemon juice. Toss until the cherries are well coated.
  3. Transfer the cherry mixture to a baking dish.
Make the Crumble Topping
  1. In another bowl, mix together the flour, oats, brown sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon until crumbly.
  2. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the cherry filling in the baking dish.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the cherries are bubbling.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
