- 2 lbs flanken-style beef short ribs
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- Optional garnishes: 2 green onions (finely chopped), 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, sesame oil, and ginger. Add short ribs and coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight is best).
- Heat your grill or broiler to high (about 500?F or 260?C).
- Remove ribs from marinade and grill for about 5-7 minutes per side until caramelized.
- In a saucepan, bring reserved marinade to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Brush over ribs during the last minute of cooking.
