  • 1 lb ground lamb or beef
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400?F (200?C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground lamb or beef with parsley, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, oregano, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs (about 2 tablespoons each) and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  5. Optional: While baking, prepare tzatziki sauce by mixing yogurt with grated cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and dill.
  6. Serve warm with tzatziki sauce on the side.
