Ingredients
Scale
- 10 egg roll wrappers
- 1 cup ground pork or chicken
- 1 cup coleslaw mix (cabbage and carrots)
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce (for dipping)
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling: Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground pork or chicken, cooking until browned and crumbly.
- Add Vegetables: Stir in coleslaw mix and green onions; cook for about 4 minutes until vegetables soften but remain crunchy.
- Season: Mix in soy sauce and garlic powder, ensuring everything is well-coated. Let cool for 5 minutes.
- Assemble Rolls: Lay an egg roll wrapper in a diamond shape on a surface. Place 2 tbsp filling near the corner closest to you. Fold that corner over the filling, tuck in the sides, and roll tightly.
- Fry: Heat enough vegetable oil in a pot to submerge rolls halfway (about 2 inches deep). Once hot (around 350°F), fry rolls two at a time for about 3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Serve: Place fried egg rolls on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve warm with sweet chili sauce or soy sauce.
