Description

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs starchy potatoes (e.g., Russets), peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ? cups Gruy?re cheese, shredded
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter (for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375?F (190?C) and grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish. Pour half of the cream mixture over them and sprinkle with half of the Gruy?re cheese. Repeat with remaining potatoes, cream, and cheese.
  4. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
