  • 2 cups diced ham
  • 4 medium Yukon Gold potatoes, thinly sliced (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for saut?ing onions)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375?F (190?C).
  2. Peel and thinly slice the Yukon Gold potatoes.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and saut? the diced onions until soft (about 5 minutes).
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine sliced potatoes, saut?ed onions, diced ham, heavy cream, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and half of the shredded cheese. Mix well.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with remaining cheese. Cover with foil.
  6. Bake for approximately 45 minutes. Remove foil in the last 10 minutes to allow cheese to brown.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
