Description

Vegan Inari Sushi is a delightful plant-based dish that captures the essence of traditional sushi in a fun and easy-to-make form. Each bite features sweet, marinated tofu pockets filled with perfectly seasoned sushi rice, making it a fantastic appetizer or main course for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sushi rice
  • 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 inari tofu pouches
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until clear, then cook according to package instructions (about 20 minutes with 1 cup water).
  2. Transfer cooked rice to a bowl and fold in rice vinegar, sugar, and salt while fanning to cool.
  3. Open each inari pouch and fill with about 2 tablespoons of seasoned rice, pressing gently.
  4. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top of each pouch for garnish.
  5. Serve with pickled ginger and wasabi if desired.
